Outstanding Young Contractor Award

Outstanding Young Contractor Award recognises young contractors who have outstanding achievements, innovation, and a high level of professionalism in the construction industry, in line with efforts to advance the construction sector in a sustainable and progressive manner. 

This award celebrates emerging leaders who show strong entrepreneurial spirit, professional excellence, and the ability to drive positive change in areas such as professionalism, project delivery, innovation, sustainability, and workforce development.

Through this category, CIDB aims to recognise and encourage the next generation of construction industry leaders who will shape the future of Malaysia’s built environment. 

Evaluation Criteria
  1. Professional Achievement
    Demonstrated achievements in managing construction projects, business growth, or organisational development.
  2. Leadership and Initiative
    Ability to lead teams, manage responsibilities effectively, and demonstrate initiative within the organisation or industry.
  3. Innovation and Industry Contribution
    Adoption of innovative practices, technologies, or initiatives that contribute to improving construction industry practices.
  4. Future Potential and Industry Impact
    Demonstrated potential to become a future leader who will contribute to the advancement of the Malaysian construction industry.
Participation Criteria
  1. This category is open to Malaysian citizens aged 40 years and below on the date the nomination period opens.
  2. The individual must have at least 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
  3. The nominees must hold a leadership position in a company registered with CIDB.
