Excellence in Facilities Management (FM) Award
The Excellence in Facilities Management Award, recognises organisations that demonstrate excellence in managing, maintaining, and optimising built assets to ensure their long-term performance, safety, and sustainability.
This award honours facilities management contractors who deliver high standards of service through effective asset management practices, innovative maintenance strategies, and strong operational leadership. It recognises companies that contribute to enhancing the value, functionality, and sustainability of buildings and infrastructure throughout their lifecycle.
Through this category, CIDB aims to highlight the critical role of facilities management in supporting the performance and resilience of Malaysia's built environment, while promoting professionalism, innovation, and best practices within the facilities management sector.
- Service Excellence and Operational Performance
Demonstrated effectiveness in delivering facilities management services, including maintenance management, operational efficiency, and overall service quality. - Asset Management and Maintenance Strategy
Implementation of structured maintenance programmes and systematic asset management practices that support long-term asset performance and reliability. - Innovation and Technology Adoption
Adoption of digital tools, smart technologies, or innovative approaches that enhance operational efficiency and improve facilities management outcomes - Sustainability and Environmental Practices
Implementation of energy efficiency measures, sustainable operational practices, and environmentally responsible initiatives within facilities management operations. - Client Satisfaction and Value Creation
Ability to deliver value to clients through improved building performance, cost efficiency, and service reliability.
- This category is open to Malaysian facilities management contractors registered with CIDB under Specialisation Codes F01 and/or F02.
- The participating organisation must demonstrate:
- At least THREE (3) active facilities management services engagements, and
- At least ONE (1) operational facility or portfolio of facilities which has been ongoing for at least ONE (1) year.
- The facilities management contract or project submitted must have been operational within the period of 01 January 2021 to 31 December 2025.
- Each company may submit a maximum of THREE (3) facilities management contracts or projects.
