Changemaker Award

Changemaker Award recognises individuals who have made significant contributions in driving positive change and innovation within Malaysia’s construction industry. 

This award honours individuals who demonstrate visionary leadership, champion new ideas, and inspire transformation in areas such as technology adoption, sustainability, productivity, safety, professionalism or any industry practices. 

Through this category, CIDB aims to celebrate individuals whose initiatives and leadership have created meaningful impact and contributed to the advancement of the Malaysian construction industry. 

Evaluation Criteria
  1. Leadership and Vision
    Demonstrated leadership in driving change, innovation, or improvement within the construction industry.
  2. Innovation and Transformation
    Introduction or promotion of new ideas, technologies, systems, or practices that improve the industry.
  3. Industry Impact
    Contribution to improving industry practices, productivity, sustainability, safety, or professionalism.
  4. Influence and Inspiration
    Ability to inspire others and influence positive change across organisations or the wider industry.
Participation Criteria
  1. This category is open to Malaysian citizens or permanent residents who are actively contributing to the construction industry in Malaysia.
  2. The individual must have at least TEN (10) years of experience in their field of expertise.
  3. Nominees may come from contractors, consultants, developers, academia, government agencies, industry organisations, or private practice.
  4. The nominee must have demonstrated significant contributions in driving innovation, transformation, or positive change in the construction industry.
  5. Nominations may be submitted by organisations, industry stakeholders, or the nominee themselves.
